Which is the laying methods of the adhesive for curtain walls?
Florim Solutions recommends the "double spreading" technique, consisting in the laying of a glue layer on the support and on the back of the ceramic tiles to be glued.
As well as compulsory in compliance with certain European Standards, this method offers significant advantages:
-
allows the complete filling of the space between the tile and the support, avoiding the forming of vacuums in the binding layer which are potential causes of infiltrations and slabs detachments
-
produces greater adherence of the slab to the building, creating a better joint and compact glue-tile system, drastically reducing the risks of detachment of the tiling
-
avoids the non-adherence due to the forming of a film above the glue layer spread on the substrate, that upon rehydrating by the fresh adhesive applied on the back of the slab, acquires the adhesion properties
