Franco Scaglia architecht
GetFit is a chain of fitness clubs, born in 1984 with the objective of offering the best of environments, equipment and personnel to support the well-being.
GetFit philosophy is contained in the path to "feel good" with themselves and with others without going to the exasperation of physical activity, in areas where multi-purpose fitness rooms coexist with thermarium and relaxation areas.
GetFit now has 13 clubs: 10 in Milan, one in Monza, a Gallarate (VA) and one in Switzerland in Lugano.
Arch. Franco Scaglia GetFit designs spaces with him and talk to the Viale Stelvio Club Milan Club Via Meda to Milan.
GetFit - MILANO - VIALE STELVIO
Search for innovative materials, color choices, lighting and fragrances are spent at the Club (opened in October 2007) a real emotional experience.
Architect Scale, gives us some details about the project as a whole?
Designed and built between 2007 and 2008 in a former car factory, Club is characterized by having the restaurant that overlooks the public highway (with all the advantages that this entails) and fitness area covering the emptiness of the restaurant.
The various functions are arranged on three levels: ground floor entrance, offices and restaurant, changing rooms and swimming pool on the mezzanine floor, first floor training rooms and fitness area. In the basement, the SPA is connected directly to the locker room by a ladder.
How long have you been keeping this project?
Design and construction have occupied a year and some months, although the SPA has been completed at a later time.
Explains how the products were used Florim?
As for ceramic tiles, in this club for the first time were also used as a floor of the training rooms as an alternative to wood.
A very particular choice made by the architect. Livio Leardi (owner GetFit), certainly in contrast, but has given very good results especially in terms of maintenance. The porcelain surface with high slip resistance was obviously used in wetlands and in particular in the pool.
GetFit - MILAN - VIA MEDA
A Mediterranean garden with ancient olive trees greets visitors at the entrance and the view of this area is constant in each phase of training: fitness rooms, training rooms and swimming pool overlooking the central garden in fact, in a game of crossed eyes.
Everywhere, minimalist chic design recreates the harmony composed and warm spaces Eastern: The objective is put in the form not only the body but also spirit.
Architect Scale, gives us some details about the project as a whole?
This is a club designed and constructed in 2005 inside a building to clear industrial vocation. Featuring two buildings separated by a large courtyard and linked to the first floor by a covered bridge (which was converted into a fitness area) and in the basement of a tunnel (with changing rooms and SPA), is certainly the building more interesting when we intervened to create a Wellness Club Although organized on three levels, the GetFit Via Meda features comfortable and intuitive pathways in addition, despite the score of the facades were heavily conditioning, it was possible to organize the spaces absolutely consistent with the typical functions of a club of this type. Regarding the image, we tried to put the finishing elements and accessories that can score in a strong and modern, the new use, but did not "use force" to an architecture whose taste was not to be missed .
How long have you been keeping this project?
In a year or so has been designed and built the club in style GetFit.
Explains how the products were used Florim?
We always used as ceramic tiles for the pool, changing rooms and wet areas, ie in all those areas, where there is a need to have a high slip resistance to ensure user safety and protection of the walls. In particular, the swimming pool on the board have been made using the collection Glam Wood, from the surface that evokes the wood: the final visual effect is very interesting.
The use of ceramic materials by coating, as well as an undeniable characterization of the project, allows optimum maintenance of environments which remain so over time, even in the face of extremely intensive use, the characteristics of the original image, to the benefit of feeling Order and cleanliness.
