Maximum functionality, but also exotic charm and soft oriental atmosphere to create emotional spaces are the objectives of the project Balnea Sensory Spa Beauty Center.
Done at the Baths of Salvarola Sassuolo (MO) Balnea is a unique wellness and research, which allows healing treatments using thermal water-salt and getting into shape physically advantage of a short holiday.
The Centre is located near the ancient spa within a complex offering various options: swimming pools, gyms, saunas and so intended to wellness.
Project objective Balnea, the organization of spaces where wellness treatments using the latest technology and ancient wisdom, as shiatsu and ayurvedic treatments, all within a welcoming environment that host systems for the care of the body based fruit essences, such as cherry and grape plants.
In the project of Grace Franzoni, the morphology of space (mainly longitudinal and provided with openings to the outside on one side) has suggested the use of the part with the windows environment which is intended to cars equipped with relaxation areas.
As for the selection of materials, the architect decided to tap the variegated world of ceramics production, where, thanks to more sophisticated technology, you can find old soul but with contemporary materials such as glass mosaics Casamood series, chosen different colors for the wall coverings.
"Their deficiencies - tells the architect Grace Franzoni - mysterious and seductive and reflexes have dressed like a precious fabric and snug spaces, becoming accomplices essential well-being and sensuality."
Significant part of any environment is the use of water, an element of purity that springs from two fountains and interior, with its continuous flow, ideally renews the body fluids. Thus, the two fountains are the focus around which the thermal environment, which is accessed by crossing an old door from India and made of dark wood carved.
Wood is also the inspiration that guided the selection of floor space: the collection of Rex Abisko, in fact, covers all areas, giving warmth and personality to rooms and corridors.
